A civil lawsuit is pending, and a class action settlement has been preliminarily approved, against Wakefield & Associates, Inc. in the Circuit Court of The City of St. Louis, Missouri, Case No. 1722-CC1907
- Plaintiff Leta Harris alleged that Wakefield had a default judgment interested against her and others similarly situated based on a return of service that was signed by a special process server who was not appointed to the court to serve the papers.
- Plaintiff seeks to have class member judgments set aside and dismissed, and to any money paid to Wakefield after the entry of the judgment refunded to the payees.
- You have not been sued. The Court certifying the Class and issuing Notice is not suggesting that the named Plaintiff or the Class would have won or lost the case.
